To provide scientific insights for
Sukabumi City Attorney General's staff, therefore the presence of a library is
necessary. By reading our knowledge and insight books will increase, the books
in the Sukabumi City Prosecutor's library are not only books in the field of
law but include all fields of science and technology today, so make the most of
the use of the library facilities because with our books can get to know the
world because books are a window to the world.
The goal, said Nicke, is to foster a
literacy culture and optimize the role of libraries. He said this year the
theme of cultural literacy was to introduce Sundanese culture to children. The
target is the young generation to know and love their own culture.
In this reading month,
Nicke said, a number of activities were held, namely a writing school movement
competition, an exhibition of Sundanese cultural tool literacy, an exhibition
of the history of Sukabumi City, Book hunter. In addition, an exhibition to
commemorate BJ Habibie, and an exhibition of socially based inclusion
libraries.
This activity is supported not only
by the local government, but collaboration with various parties such as the
Dzikir Alfat Ponpes related to cultural literacy and the Kipahare Museum which
shows Sundanese games and instruments. Fahmi said that, it needs to be
displayed for fear that elementary to high school students who are identical
with millennial generation do not know Sundanese tools such as lisung and
others. Besides, the existence of this exhibition is interesting because in the
library various goods are displayed which are identical with Sundanese culture
literacy. The City Government hopes that the literacy movement will grow and be
sturdy to convince children and young people and students to become a great
generation. The reason is from the literacy there will be a great generation
with broad insights and upholding historical cultural heritage.
